Summer 2020

During our lockdown period of 2020 I decided to work everyday on a new medium that I came across in my research and thus concentrating on new techniques with oil and cold wax. This method lends itself to my methods keeping my work loose and spontaneous. The landscape of Suffolk & Norfolk with its colours and surfaces are a perfect stage. Experimenting with different mediums stretching the qualities of oils to its limits adding different materials that creates rich textures and tones. I am also enjoying the way the paintings are leaning towards abstraction creating a  suggestion of form an ambiguity of the land or sea, allowing for the essence of a place to come through.

January 2025

Moving forward to a new year and my painting has progressed towards a new phase. It has given me a new prospective on my work and a feeling I have found my voice and my style that I have been searching for during my research and processes for a long time. I will be continuing with my practises I have found using new and familiar mediums and techniques and at the same time to continue with experimentation in order to progress further, exploring new processes and mediums that fuels an artists curiosity.

My work can ben seen in 'Art in East Anglia' in Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk.
